This is part two of a three part blog series! To read part one, click here.

In our previous blog we walked you through how to care for Cyberhair and synthetic fibers. This blog will walk you through the best ways to care for your client’s growing, thinning hair.

International Hairgoods just launched its brand new Hair Support Density line that is specifically formulated for thinning hair.

If you are looking for a new line of products to offer those clients of yours that are not yet at the hair loss stage where they need to be looking at toppers or wigs, this is the perfect match!

In the line are the STIMUL8 Shampoo, the EXHILAR8 Conditioner and the ACCELER8 Booster. This three-step system encompasses a unique, proprietary blend of active ingredients designed to deliver maximum results for thinning hair, and we’ll walk you through each one in this blog.

When recommending products to transform thinning hair, we generally prefer to focus on benefits and setting expectations for visible results.

Yet, since your clients are looking to you as the expert to help them resolve their thinning hair issues, we do recommend understanding the distinctive ingredients in these products.

The Hair Support Density formulas are LOADED with advanced ingredients originating from plants and safe, natural sources.

The ingredients in the Hair Support Density line are delivered through targeted liposome technology – getting the ingredients where they’re needed so they aren’t simply rinsed off the hair and scalp.

The Ingredients

Caffeine - Caffeine may increase circulation in the skin and reduces transepidermal water loss, which improves the skin’s barrier function. Transepidermal water loss in this case is moisture lost through the scalp. Due to its innovative formulation with liposomal encapsulated caffeine it can efficiently transport its active ingredients where it can effectively reduce the appearance of hair loss.

Procapil - Procapil is believed to fight follicle aging to prevent premature hair loss. Procapil is also commonly used in eyelash growth formulas due to its plant based origin and demonstrated safe use.

Pomegranate Seed Oil - Pomegranate Seed Oil is recognized for its soothing and nutritive benefits. This exclusive ingredient is extracted from pomegranate seeds and offers powerful antioxidant support.

Amla - also known as Indian Gooseberry - is a natural ayurvedic remedy that has been celebrated to support the appearance of hair growth. Amla visibly strengthens the hair root and visibly rejuvenates the hair!

Apple Stem Cell* - Apple Stem Cell helps protect and enhance hair cells against premature aging and hair loss. This ingredient helps rejuvenate hair follicles.

Reishi Mushroom* - Reishi Mushroom is also known at the “Mushroom of Immortality,” as it slows down the premature aging of hair, while stimulating blood flow to the scalp. Extract of Reishi Mushroom is highly nutritious and nourishing.

Adenosine ATP* - This increases the Anagen stage of hair growth as well as increasing the diameter of hair. Studies have shown Adenosine to be effective for visible hair growth. Adenosine has shown promise for both male and female pattern hair loss when used topically. Adenosine is thought to work by stimulating the scalp and hair follicles.

Saw Palmetto* - This is a DHT blocker which means your hair follicles are less likely to shrink. It has a proven history in formulas to combat hair loss. Saw Palmetto is a fruit extract used to revitalize hair and is ultra-soothing.

Niacinamide* - Vitamin B -3is a powerful antioxidant that helps support the epidermal barrier.

Linoleic Acid - Linoleic Acid is an essential fatty acid used to help maintain a visibly healthy scalp. Commercial Linoleic Acid is typically extracted from sunflower seeds and other nourishing plant seed sources.

The Products

The first two steps of the Hair Support Density line are the STIMUL8 Shampoo and the EXHILAR8 Conditioner, which have been developed to energize and reactivate your client’s hair.

These two products work to:

  • Support hair strength and defend against breakage
  • Reduce build-up and promote scalp microcirculation
  • Add visible body and volume to hair
  • Improve manageability, compatibility and detangling
  • Leave hair ultra-clean, as it helps clear away impurities at the follicle to improve the effectiveness of the ACCELER8 Booster (the third step in the line)

How to use the STIMUL8 Shampoo - Apply STIMUL8 Shampoo to wet hair and massage into hair and scalp for 30 seconds. Your client should feel a slight tingling at the scalp. Rinse thoroughly.

How to use the EXHILAR8 Conditioner - Follow STIMUL8 by applying the EXHILAR8 Conditioner all over hair and scalp while gently massaging in a circular motion. Allow the conditioner to sit for 2-3 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

The start product of this three-step system is truly the ACCELER8 Hair Booster. This leave-in product contains the most highly active ingredients for hair care, directly targeting the hair and scalp, which in turn will transform your clients hair into a fuller and more voluminous look.

The booster is light activated, meaning it will work best followed up with a laser cap or hood, but this isn’t 100% necessary to feel and see the results.

How to use the ACCELER8 Booster - Once the hair is dry, separate it at the part and spray the ACCELER8 onto the scalp, gently massaging the product into the scalp for two minutes. This is a leave-in product, so you do not need to rinse it out.

We suggest you tell your clients to use this daily, and for maximum benefits it should be followed with a laser device.
